On Monday evening, at about 11:30 PM, Cunard's Queen Mary 2 was located just off Montauk, Long Island, some 140 nautical miles from the entrance to New York Harbor.
Not sure why the Queen Mary 2 was running late, but she was clocked at an impressive 25.7 knots or about 34 miles per hour heading toward New York!
The Queen Mary 2 docked as planned at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal between 6:00 and 7:00 AM.
Tonight the Queen Mary 2 is sailing at 22 knots toward Southampton, England.
